Because of concerns for safety and contagion caused by the COVID and Omicron viruses, I am currently conducting most sessions remotely.
How do I contact you? I can be reached on my confidential line at (818) 835-4399. I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please allow 24 hours to return calls and emails.
How long are the sessions? The sessions are 50 minutes long. Couples and families may benefit from 80 minute sessions. EMDR benefits from 80 minute sessions in order to allow for processing time. I am seeing people at outdoor sites currently as well as on virtual platforms because of COVID precautions.
Can I see you for EMDR work only? Yes. We can incorporate EMDR into our therapy work as a part of our ongoing therapy, or you are able to schedule sessions for EMDR alone.
Does EMDR work for other diagnosis other than PTSD? EMDR can be a part of therapy for a range of issues other than PTSD, and can be a part of resourcing and strengthening positive sources of support in any therapy.
How do I know I am a candidate for EMDR work? In our initial sessions, I will be able to evaluate if EMDR is a good fit for you, and we can discuss the criteria for that together to ensure that you feel comfortable and informed as to the process and nature of EMDR work.
Are you covered by insurance? I am happy to provide superbills for clients to submit to their insurers. I am not on any insurance panels.
Do you offer sliding scale fees? I maintain a number of session times in my practice for clients at a sliding scale rate. I maintain a waiting list for those positions.
